Radloff Park
Running alongside the Lourensford River in Somerset West, Radloff Park provides a beautiful walk and wide-open spaces for your dog.
If you’d like to take your dogs to this park, it is recommended that they are trained and socialised with other dogs as it is an off-leash area. Although you can keep them on the leash if you would prefer.

Lourensford Market
Who doesn’t love good food and craft markets on a wine farm? The only way to make that experience even better is to bring your pet!
Dogs are welcome, but they need to remain on-leash and owners are encouraged to be mindful to other market-goers by cleaning up after their little ones.
Mondeor Restaurant
Just off the N2, Mondeor restaurant is the perfect venue for the whole family, including the four-legged kind.
Enjoy a sundowner and pizza while watching the kids and pets play in the outside play area with a jungle gym, shallow splash pool, and a jumping castle.
Strand Dog Beach
There aren’t many dog-friendly beaches in the Helderberg area, but Mostertsbaai beach in Strand is one of them and is a great place for your furry friend to dig their paws in the sand! The rocky shoreline has interesting pools and gullies for your pooch to explore.
Cat Heaven Rescue Cat Cafe
This cafe in Somerset West not only serves coffee and cakes, it serves cat cuddles too!
While you can’t bring your own pets to this cafe, it is a great place to go if you’d like to interact with 20 friendly felines who were adopted from the Stellenbosch Animal Welfare.
They also offer free Wi-Fi so you can work or study with some cute kitties.

Fiore Garden Centre and Restaurant
Get your pup to help pick out the best plants for your home! Enjoy a cup of coffee surrounded by a variety of plants, Bonsai trees, and other gardening necessities. Set under the trees, you can also enjoy their comprehensive menu, with a range of delectable meals and cakes.
Vredenhof Organic Estate
In the winelands, off the R44 on the way to Stellenbosch is Vredenhof, a family-run Organic Farm where your pet is welcome on a leash.
The estate is only open during the week, but if you do decide to pop in you can choose from a variety of organic fruits and vegetables and take in the beautiful sights of the garden.
