1. What is Wear Your Shades Day?
Wear Your Shades Day is a national awareness and fundraising campaign led by Petworld in partnership with the South African Guide-Dogs Association. Taking place on 17 October 2025 during World Sight Month, the campaign raises awareness about eye health and supports people living with visual impairments.
2. How do I participate?
Simply purchase a R20 sticker and wear your favourite sunglasses on 17 October 2025 to show your support.
3. Where can I buy stickers?
Stickers are available at all Petworld Retail stores nationwide and online at www.guidedog.org.za. They are also available through selected partners: Pick n Pay, Spar, Falco Milano, Big Blue, and BUCO Hardware.
4. How does my donation help?
Funds raised directly support the South African Guide-Dogs Association, helping provide Assistance Dogs for people who are visually impaired, living with physical disabilities, or children on the autism spectrum, as well as Orientation and Mobility services.
5. Can I share my support on social media?
Definitely! Post a photo of yourself (and your dog, if you have one) wearing shades and your sticker.
