Tips & Tricks To Keep Your Dogs Cool This Summer

Petworld |

Summer is just around the corner. As the weather heats up we need to keep in mind that our furry friends sometimes struggle to keep themselves cool. Dogs can become overheated during the heat of summer which is bad for their overall health.

Give Them a Haircut

The first step you can take is to remove all of that excess fluff. We might love our pups being fluffy and cuddly, but when the temperatures rise it can become extremely uncomfortable for them to have that extra coat. These clippers are ideal for taking off thick hair and even matted areas. It’s heavy duty and provides the precision you need to do your own grooming right from your own home.

Give Them Some Shade

During the middle of the day, dogs enjoy sleeping. However, sometimes it can be difficult to find shade when the sun bears down on your garden. Our dog houses are UV resistant and waterproof, making them the ideal napping station for your dogs.

Help Them Cool Down

Sometimes it can be impossible to escape the unrelenting summer heat. This cooling mat is the ideal solution for your dogs. The nylon design is naturally cooler than its surroundings, making it a welcome relief from the ambient temperature. It’s also easy to clean simply by wiping it with a cloth. If it’s a particularly hot day, you can even put the cooling mat in your fridge or freezer to cool it down even further. The mat can be used on the floor or even in a dog bed or dog house.

Get Them a Cooling Jacket

When we think of cooling, we don’t often think of using a jacket. However, this jacket is made from a self-cooling material. All you need to do is wet the jacket and wring out any excess water. As long as the jacket is damp, it will provide your pup with a cooling effect.

Give Them a Frozen Treat

As if you didn’t need any more reasons to get a Kong toy, it can also help your dog cool down during those hot summer days. Fill the Kong toy with your dog’s favourite treats or peanut butter and leave it in the freezer for 24 hours. Your dog will love the treats, and it will cool them down while they are mentally and physically stimulated.
