Royal Suite XL Single Unit Anthracite – Expandable Small Animal Cage

Large Cage for rats and ferrets

Rats and ferrets are active animals. They climb, explore and need room to move between levels throughout the day. A cage that limits that movement leads to stress and inactivity. The Savic Royal Suite XL Single Unit gives them the space they need with outer dimensions of 115 × 67.5 × 71 cm and a multi-level layout that supports natural, active behaviour from the first day.

Easy access doors and included accessories

Large access doors measuring approx. 97 × 57.5 cm open wide for feeding, handling and daily interaction at every level. The Royal Suite XL Single Unit includes ladders and platforms to support climbing and vertical movement. Protective rims on all levels keep litter and debris contained within the cage, reducing time spent cleaning around it.

Expandable design with Royal Suite XL Add-on Unit

The Savic Royal Suite XL Single Unit connects directly to the Royal Suite XL Add-on Unit (sold separately), increasing the total height to 152 cm and adding a full extra level for pets to explore. This modular small animal cage design means the setup grows with changing needs, without requiring a full replacement. It is a practical solution for owners looking for a ferret enclosure or large rat cage that can expand over time.

Wheels, Finish and Build Quality

Four wheels sit beneath the unit. Two wheels lock with brakes for stable daily positioning; two remain free for repositioning without lifting. The anthracite hammertone finish on the metal frame is scratch-resistant and holds up to daily contact and regular cleaning. The open wire structure maintains good ventilation and gives pets clear sightlines to their surroundings.

The right cage for active small animals

The Savic Royal Suite XL Single Unit is built for animals that need genuine space to live, not just a place to rest. With a large footprint, multi-level layout, wide access doors and the option to expand to 152 cm total height, it is one of the most complete starting points for a rat, ferret or chinchilla enclosure on the market. It sits cleanly in the room, moves easily when needed and connects directly to the Add-on Unit when more space is required
